Below is a list of browser, plug-in, system and software requirements. Be sure that you have updated your computer with the appropriate software before you begin your program.

Internet Connection: High Speed (Broadband)
Audio: Speakers and Microphone
Printer and means to digitally submit a file or ability to digitally edit PDF files

Word Processing software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Microsoft Office
Free Options: Open Office and Google Docs
Audacity or Vocaroo ^

Safari (supported for iPads only) Safari settings on iPads should be
configured as follows:
Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security → Block All Cookies Must Be Off

^A small set of Accelerate Education courses require students record their voice and submit audio files to their teacher.
A small set of Accelerate Education courses, specifically computer programming courses, may require students to download additional free software.

Technology Skills Needed
For families choosing to participate in our online program, students and/or parents/coaches must have the following skills:
Ability to open and use a web browser
Ability to log in (either by memory or note with username and password)
Ability to use a mouse cursor or accessibility device modification replacing a mouse cursor
Ability to read and understand directions and navigate through pages, hyperlinks
Ability to use a computer keyboard or accessibility device modification replacing a keyboard.
Ability to turn off pop-up blockers
Ability/access to speakers and microphone/recording device
Ability to download/upload material/assignments
Specific device (computer, laptop, tablet, etc.) requirements are located in the handbook
Ability to access Zoom or other similar virtual meetings if in-person meetings are not an option
